Booking Through Thursday - Category

Booking through Thursday asks this week:

Of the books you own, what’s the biggest category/genre?
Is this also the category that you actually read the most?
Probably the biggest category/genre that I own would probably be literary.  I would like to say that it is the category that I do read the most often, but probably I read more outside where I am comfortable reading as I tend to borrow/read a wide variety of books from my local public library.

Comments

I used to read a lot of my books from my library but then wanted to keep all the ones that I loved so I now just buy every book. :)

The library is always a good place to broaden your horizons!
I have many books in the literary fiction genre, but I have expanded to include others in recent years.

Thanks for visiting my blog.

Well finally someone else who made just about the same broad definition as I did of categories ;)

The library is awesome for trying out new things. I discovered I liked fantasy because I borrowed a few from the library.

Thanks for stopping by Project to be Read :)

Same. Though I never seem to stick to genres--I'm all over the place!

I own a mixture of genres but probably women's fiction is the one I have the most of. :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I typically read snuggled up on the couch with a nice glass of iced tea, or hot chocolate on those colder days. I haven't really tried reading outside before ?:o

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog!

I think my bookshelf is a tie between literary and historical fiction.

Based on the label cloud on my blog, my reading is generally dominated by historical fiction and fantasy. But I'm slowly turning the tide more now, I think!
