It's Monday! What are You Reading? (Jan. 4)

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week.  It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog   and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!

What I am currently reading:
• The Science behind TV's The Big Bang Theory
• A Duty to the Dead
• Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH

What I completed last week:
Not much. Between travelling most of the afternoon on Monday and working on Thursday evening and recovering from travelling and working, I didn't read much.

Reviews posted:
None. I haven't had my computer available to me for most of the week and blogging on my iPhone isn't ideal. I hope to have the remaining reviews from 2015 up this coming week, as I will have my computer available to sometime this coming week.

My week:
Read a little bit, as most of my reading happened in the previous weeks, when I had more materials on hand and wasn't recovering from a busy week of Christmas related events. I did start reading The Science of The Big Bang Theory and als started A Duty to the Dead as well.   I don't know how much I'll read tomorrow, as it is a travel day for me and by the time I get home, I'll probably be tired.

Current Reads:
The Science of The Big Bang Theory
• A Duty to the Dead

What I read since my last post:
Let it Snow
• The Beautiful Bureaucrat
• Displacement: A Travelogue
• An Age of License: A Travelogue
• Get Jiro!
• Dashing Through the Snow

What I reviewed since my last post:
A Hundred Summers by Beatriz Williams (review)
• Hausfrau by Jill Alexander Essenbaum (review)
• Travelling to Infinity by Jane Hawking (review)
• The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot (review)
• To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee (review)
• Jacob Have I Loved by Katherine Paterson (review)

Hope you all have a wonderful week of reading.

• While We're Far Apart
• Circling the Sun

What I read last week:
• And to All a Good Night
• The Curious Case of the Copper Corpse

Probably more Christmas-type books and the new Richard Paul Evans book that I have signed out.

It's Monday! What are you reading? (Aug. 10)

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a fun weekly meme that is hosted by Shelia at Book Journeyin which we share what we've read and reviewed and what we plan on reading in the coming week.

I would have posted earlier, but I was feeling a little groggy last night and hence didn't post last night.

It wasn't a busy week of reading, but I think that this week will be a little more busy, as I will have to get the books I have signed out from the library completed before I return them this coming weekend.

Last week

Didn't finish anything.  I didn't read much from either The Book of Life or Travelling to Infinity for some reason, but did start read To Kill a Mockingbird and A Rogue by Any Other Name by Sarah MacLean.  And I am vowing not to start anything else before I finish these four books.

Current read(s)

• A Rogue by Any Other Name by Sarah MacLean
• To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
• The Book of LIfe by Deborah Harkness
• Travelling to Infinity by Jane Hawking

Coming up this week:

I will try to finish up the books that I have as my current reads right now as much as possible and will likely read The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot as well.

Reviews:
• Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine (review)
• Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling (review)

As for my plans outside of reading, at this point I really don't know.  Probably go to the pool for an afternoon or two and do some swimming and reading.  I will also likely take some walks, as I have been too much of a coach potato for the past few days and need to get back into my walking routine.

What books are you reading this week? Any plans outside of reading?

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? (Aug.3)

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a fun weekly meme that is hosted by Shelia at Book Journeyin which we share what we've read and reviewed and what we plan on reading in the coming week.

Since my last post on this meme, I have read a number of books, but my reviewing has gone down substantially.  I am hoping to work on book reviews tomorrow (Monday) and have some of them up on the blog within the week.

I am also going to change things up a little bit with how I go about this meme based on something I have seen from another participant.

Last Week

I read quite a bit out of Travelling to Infinity and started The Book of Life again.  I am hoping to finish both of them by the end of the week; just have to get myself calm enough to get into a reading mood, but knowing how I am thinking, I should be able to get into my reading mode in the next day or two.  Part of the reason for the lack of reading was because of travel and for some reason, I was unable to read much.

Current Read(s)

Still currently reading Travelling to Infinity by Jane Hawking (Stephen Hawking's first wife) and its a fairly thick and dense book, even though I can get into the book quite easily, and The Book of Life by Deborah Harkness.

Coming Up this Week

I hope to start To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee and The Odyssey by Homer (this one is a book club read) and possibly The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot.

As for my non-book activities, I hoping to go paddle-boarding with my dad this coming week and hopefully go on a go-Kart for the first time.  All are weather dependent.  If not, I have Secret Garden to work on.

Happy Monday to all!

What books are you reading this week? Any plans outside of reading?
