Spring into Horror Read-a-Thon - Starting Post #SpringHorrorRAT

I had been humming and hawing as to whether I should join or not, but as you can see, I have decided to join.  I have decided not to read horror books, just due to the fact that its not a genre I don't read that much and it really doesn't interest me.  But I will be reading some mystery novels, with some general reading mixed in.

Here are my plans:

  • Jane Eyre
  • A Duty to the Dead
  • 13 Ways to look at a Fat Girl
  • Kindred (complete)
  • Outlander
  • The Residence
  • The Cadence of Gypsies
  • Jane Steele
  • When Breath becomes Air
Happy reading to all that are joining.

Spring Into Horror Wrap-up

I didn't read as much as I had hoped to, mainly because I got busy between Tuesday and Thursday and had to do a lot of reading from The Mysteries of Udolpho on Friday and Saturday.  I did get a good portion of The Pursuit of Mary Bennet completed, but nothing much beyond that.

Hopefully next year I can get more completed.

Sunday Salon - Spring into Horror Update No. 2

I realize that I said that I would be updating everyday during the readathon, well, plans changed and I didn't update as planned.  It was mainly due to the fact that I had a few days that I had things come up that took time away from what the reading that I had planned.

But in anycase, I was able to spend Saturday (yesterday) completing The Mysteries of the Udolpho.  And didn't read much else.  I am hoping to spend a portion of this afternoon reading from some of the other books that I had planned on reading this past week.  But first comes some chores that need to be done that have been held off for a bit.

Hope you all have a good reading day and I'll talk to you later.

#SpringHorrorRAT Update No. 1

Today was a bit busier this afternoon than I had anticipated, but I was able to sit down a read a bit.  I was only really able to read from The Pursuit of Mary Bennet (before and after work on the bus) and The Mysteries of the Udolpho.

I don't know how much I'll be able to read on Tuesday, as I have a fairly full afternoon and evening, but I'll see what I can fit in.  Now for a bit of red wine before bed...

Spring into Horror Read-a-Thon Starting Post

I know some of you are thinking I am nuts, but I'm not.  Trust me.  This isn't like what I did for most of Saturday and for a little bit of Sunday; its a little more saner than that.

It's a pretty simple readathon really in that you only have to read one book that is horror, paranormal, thriller, mystery, etc.   The rest of the read-a-thon you can read whatever you wish to.  If you wish to sign up, you can still do so here.

Here are the books that I am planning on reading during the read-a-thon:
• The Mysteries of Udolpho
• His Majesty's Hope
• The Pursuit of Mary Bennet
• The Count of Monte Cristo
• Bittersweet
• A Tale of Two Cities

If you wish to find out more about the read-a-thon, you can find out more here (it's also the starting line).  I hope to post most evenings as to what I have read, probably closer to midnight Pacific.
