Hi Melissa, that's a great list of Christmas books! My favorite is A Christmas Carol by Dickens.
I'm hosting a Christmas reading challenge if you think you might want to sign up for it as well. Here's the link:

I did sign up.
I like Debbie Macomber so I'm making a note to make sure to read that one. And one of my daughters loves David Sedaris. Add Cancel Christmas to your list. Kind of a modern-day "Christmas Carol" with greedy, crooked politicians and titans of industry. Should Christmas hinder profits? Not in the view of some of the people in this book! (Truth be told, I'm somewhat reminded of the whole health care debacle, when it comes to the stuff about the politicians!) And there's romance, too. Great fun.
Melissa,
I don't know if you suffer from the same syndrome that I do, but I find it very hard to hunker down with a book whose story I already know so well. If you find yourself in this boat, you might like to either replace or supplement A Christmas Carol with one of Dickens's other Christmas stories. I really love "The Cricket on the Hearth," first published two years after Christmas Carol. I love the idea of Christmas reading; it's probably a much healthier and more pleasing way to build up spirit than to face the inevitable and disconcerting crowds at the shops. Enjoy!
Best,
Mille Feuille
