Bloggiesta Sept 17-20 @Bloggiesta #Bloggiesta

It's September and for most people it means cleaning their homes and for a few book bloggers it means cleaning up their blogs.  And it also means a time for catching on things that have been neglected over the summer and for me that means a number of things.

So here is my to-do list:

• Catch-up on book reviews as much as possible and post them on my blog
• Update my currently reading list
• Update what I have read for my challenges
• Update my pinterest board for 2015 reads
• Clean up my tags

I realize that my list is short but with catching up on reviews and my book club meeting and a breakfast I am attending, I think that the shorter the better.  Happy blogging.

Winter 2015 Mini-Bloggiesta Sign up

Its time for the Winter Mini-Bloggiesta!

This came in time, as I have a bunch of stuff that I need to catch up with and I am also recovering from a sore throat from last week.

Here is what I need to do:

• catch up on book reviews as much as possible

• post my best of 2014 list

• update the side bar area (may add in a blogs I follow feature).

Bloggiesta September 2014 Master To Do List

This couldn't come at a better time.  I have a lot of things related to my blog that need to be done.  And here are the things that I need to get completed:

• complete book reviews up until The Martian
• cross-post book reviews on book reviews until the end of 2012 on Goodreads
• cross-post 2014 book reviews to BookLikes
• updates on the 2014 challenges that I am committed to (link up reviews to the various pages I set up and make a master post of where I am in those various challenges).
• clean up labels
• participate in a twitter chat (if I remember)

Bloggiesta sign up

I realize that I putting this up a little late, but I figure whatever.  Here are my plans:

• post 3 or 4 book reviews
• catch up on blog-related emails that have been piling up since a week ago Friday (the 11th)
• listen to a bunch of my book-related podcasts
• read up to at least 40% of The Goldfinch
• write up a start up post for the High-Summer Readathon
• write up my Sunday Salon and What Are You Reading? posts

#bloggiesta Spring 2014 Finish Line

Here was the list that I wanted to work on:
• write 3 reviews and post to blog
• finish linking up reviews by year
• post reviews of books to Goodreads (basically copy and paste reviews of books from blog)
• update "Currently Reading" on sidebar of blog
• update blogger photo
• drop off unwanted books at cafes that have a book exchange
• participate in at least one Bloggiesta chat

 And I am happy to say that I did get quite a bit on the list completed.  There were some things that while completed didn't get onto the blog, for example I got a few reviews written longhand in a notebook that will likely make its way to my blog in the coming days.  I did post reviews to Goodreads, but only got up to the end of 2012, with reviews from 2013 and 2014 still needing to be put up on Goodreads and I probably will update my Goodreads reviews as I post them here.  I might decide to actually write my reviews longhand (you know with a pen and on a piece of paper) before I post them up, so that my reviews read better than they have up until know.  I didn't participate in a Bloggiesta chat due to the fact that I forgot about them on Thursday and Friday and was still asleep on Saturday and had a family obligation on Sunday, not that it didn't feel like an obligation (actually had a really good time), but I did chat on Saturday in the afternoon and evening, when there was a little bit of a chat going on.

Things I did complete was that I finished linking up reviews by year and found out that some reviews hadn't been linked up period.  So that was a success.  I also updated my "Currently Reading" links and I will hopefully keep that up as I complete books, etc.  I also updated my blogger photo; now you can see what I actually look like, if you are viewing this on my blog and I did drop off a bunch of books that I didn't really need any more at a cafe in town that has a book exchange for those that wish to do so and I hope that somebody can discover something to read and let me know in the process (I signed up at BookCrossing and those books are now in the "wild"; just wish they had an app...).  The only reason I didn't send more books into the "wild" is because on Friday I came down with a cold and didn't have the energy to go through my books, even though there is a small stack sitting on my coffee table waiting to be sent into the "wild".

I am looking forward to the bloggiesta in the fall and until then, happy blogging!

#bloggiesta Spring 2014 Update No. 2

After doing quite a bit for Bloggiesta yesterday, today I didn't really do anything.  I was a tad run-down due to staying up late and having a fire alarm ring at 4 am (about 2 hours I crawled to bed).  I hopefully will get some more things done on my blog tomorrow (Saturday).

#bloggiesta Spring 2014 Update No. 1

What a day.  Despite the stuff that I had to do today, I did manage to get a bit done off my Bloggiesta list. 

Here is what I got done:
• updated my Book Reviews by Year (and also by Title, as I found out that I had missed a few reviews under that title as well)
• updated my blogger photo
• dropped off a few books at a local cafe and have a few more to drop off tomorrow at another location
• got all of the reviews up to the end of 2011 cross-posted to Goodreads (just copied and pasted) and am hoping to get up to the end of 2012 cross-posted to Goodreads tomorrow

What I want to do tomorrow:
• drop off another bunch of books at another cafe in town
• cross post reviews of books read in 2012 onto Goodreads
• update "Currently Reading" on the sidebar

Bloggiesta Spring 2014 To-do-list

There are several things that I do need to do on this blog and so this has come around at a time that I really need it.

Mini Bloggiesta

This is my first Mini Bloggiesta and I am looking forward to it.  I have a number of things that need to get done that I have held off on doing for the past few weeks.  Here is my list:

• write four book reviews.  I have thoughts down on paper but haven't transferred them to my blog as of yet.
• my starting post for the High Summer Readathon (just needed to sign-up; starting post goes up tomorrow)
• my July post for The Classics Club.  I have been dragging my heals on this one for a few weeks and I need to get it written and posted
• go through my book reviews from this past year and tag them properly and to also get them linked up into my book review tab
• write my Sunday Salon post and not apologize for not writing for awhile. 

And I hoping to do this while thinking of hanging in the sunshine and the pool at the resort I am staying at.
